Project 3
Module 3
This was the first project that spanned the entire semester, progressing step by step. We experienced a more structured approach to building a product incrementally, starting with testing individual components until the conditions for the whole were met. Before we had detailed, concrete ideas about the final product's concept, we took action—testing different sensors and exploring concepts and technologies that might benefit our project. Once we had functional parts, we gained the ability to assemble the final product.
Simultaneously, I recognized the critical importance of peer feedback. While we remained focused on our initial ideas and stuck to them, peer feedback allowed us to gain experiences and insights from a user's perspective—stepping outside the designer's viewpoint—and provided additional inspiration and improvement methods we hadn't originally considered.
This experience highlighted the practical value of creative iteration and the vital role of peer feedback, which will greatly benefit my future work in physical computing technology.

Project 3 Final Prototype

Our final prototype is a relaxing full experience sensory room that mimics the ocean beachside. While the sand, rocks, and other textures are real, the simulated lighting and touchscreen ocean provide delight and safety, and makes a relaxing outdoor room accessible to all audiences. Play with the water, climb on the boat, or make music on the rocks in this blend of technological and sensory beach room.
